Is my computer compatible with the DAN Format?

A.

DAN's Diver Safety Guardian logbook accepts the following formats: ZXU DAN Level 1, ZXL DAN Level 3, UDDF. They can be downloaded from the dive computer software or by using Subsurface, an open-source software.

Should I bring my equipment to the competition finals in Y-40 ?

A.

The equipment of Y-40 can be used at NOCOST, but we strongly advise to participate with your own equipment.

How can I check if the sampling rate of my diving computer is in the range required by the competition rules (1 to 10 seconds)?

A.

You can find this information in the user manual of your diving computer.

What if I can’t set my diving computer in the required sampling rate range?

A.

In this case you will need to use another dive computer if you want to participate in the competition.

Which is the deadline to upload my dive profile?

A.

You are allowed to upload the dive profile up to the expire date of each session.

What does it mean List Active in the MasterTrim menu of the Diver Safety Guardian logbook?

It is the active competition session where it's possible to upload your dive profiles.

What does it mean List Future in the MasterTrim menu of the Diver Safety Guardian logbook?

It is the list of the next sessions of the competition with start date, end date and also requested dive profile details.

What does it mean List Completed in the MasterTrim menu of the Diver Safety Guardian logbook?

It is the list of expired competition sessions.

I was ranked among the first three winners of one competition session. Can I participate in another session?

A.

No, the winners of each session can’t participate in another competition session.

I arrived in the first three of one game session, can I participate in another session?

A.

No, the first three winners of one session can’t participate in another game session.

Q.

How should I interpretate my ranking?

A.

The ranking is build as penalty points. It means the higher your points, the lower your ranking. A perfect dive would be at 0 points.
